Leopard on the Mac Pro
I upgraded to Leopard on my Mac Pro tonight. It was scary, but it went pretty well.
There are no major problems so far. There was a flock of small problems however. Here's the rundown so far:
That's all I can remember. There may be more. When I quit tonight, Time Machine was busy backing up HD1 to the G-Drive. We'll see how it did this afternoon. I'm still using SuperDuper to make a bootable backup on HD2.
Oh, by the way. The ugly dock loses its 3D appearance and reflections when put at the side of the screen where I have it. It looks like the Stacks feature does only Grid mode from there. A good thing. Cover Flow is really nice for pictures. Not sure about Quick Look. Text is kind of small in it. I like the general look of everything. The transparency features are kind of silly tho. I need to find a cool wallpaper now.

- Colloquy and XCode wouldn't run. CyberDuck behaved oddly. Fixed with upgrades.
- My crontab was wiped so none of my scheduled shell scripts would have run. Ditto for SuperDuper. Fixed by reentering the data and rescheduling SuperDuper.
- Couldn't access my Personal Website. Had to add a user profile to /etc/apache2/users. No mention of this at Apple. Found the answer in a blog. No need for this with Tiger.
- Growl works but not growlnotify so my reminder script doesn't work right. No fix yet.
- My default printer vanished! Had to add it back in.
- The man command can't find the files for the Darwin Ports stuff. No fix yet.
- The keyboard and mouse don't work in Parallels.

Did you notice, that the upgrade doesn't include iLife? Came as a surprise to me! (Mac-User since 2005 - my first OS upgrade)
