March Movies
Quite a busy month. The usual TCM fare augmented with DVDs bought on eBay.
The Canary Murder Case (1929) 3/2 IMDb
Philo Vance. Silent with sound added later. Not bad. Slow paced. Primitive camera work. No music.
The Greene Murder Case (1929) 3/4 IMDb
Philo Vance. Not bad. Faster pace. Better camera work. Awful sound quality. No music.
The Lone Wolf Returns (1935) 3/6 IMDb
Quite good. Familiar plot. Gail Patrick!
The Scarlet Clue (1945) 3/8 IMDb
Charlie Chan. Workaday routine spy chase. I remembered it. Half comedy.

Pretty good but predictable. Louis Hayward was wrong for the role.
The Saint Strikes Back (1939) 3/14 IMDb
George Sanders, the real Saint. Pretty good. Music.
